Polar Bear Photography

Since the late 1950’s Robert Taylor has been sharing his knowledge and expertise by conducting workshops, lecturing, and leading photographic and nature tours. He has contributed in whole or in part to eleven books with other publishers and in 1990 he began publishing his own works after setting up Windermere House Publishing. His recent books include: “Manitoba: Seasons of Beauty”, “The Edge of the Arctic”, and “The Great Gray Owl: On Silent Wings”.

Each summer he now leads tours to Cambridge Bay/Yellowknife, Igloolik/Iqaluit, and Wager Bay. These expeditions are in quest of Polar Bears, Muskox, Walrus, Bowhead Whales, other mammals, birds, plants, and scenery. In October and November he is a “specialist-naturalist” and photography tour leader at Churchill and Cape Churchill during the Polar Bear season.

Additionally, Robert conducts safaris to Kenya and Tanzania in late January and February. His knowledge of East African wildlife is extensive after twenty-two safaris to this exotic destination.
